Pearly penile papules are very small whitish lesions (like pinheads) that appear in some men around the crown of the glans.
Although they do not have any pathological meaning (they are not “nothing bad”), they can have an important aesthetic impact, and sometimes functional, since they can cause discomfort when rubbing.
The definitive treatment of these papules is simple: the small papules are removed and burned by surgery.
Before the surgery
It will explain what the surgery consists of and the different technical possibilities in your case.
Treatment should be performed in a prepared operating room, either in a hospital or a clinic. This surgery can be performed under local anesthesia (thanks to a local anesthetic ointment).
The surgery usually lasts about 40-50 minutes, and hospital admission is not necessary.
